The Bible Study Conversation I’ll Never Forget
The most amazing thing happened to me today during my daily devotions—God brought three powerful things to my heart and mind. One was a Scripture, one was a story, and the last—was you.
This morning, I woke up feeling off. Restless. Uneasy. Like something was just… not right.
I didn’t even make it to the kitchen. No breakfast. No vitamins. I knew I needed to be in the Word. I needed the Holy Spirit to realign my heart and fill my spirit.
Just then, my phone buzzed with a notification. It was the daily Bible verse I get every morning. I glanced at it, half-scrolling past like I sometimes do—but today was different. I felt nudged to read further. And then, like a gentle whisper from God, this verse jumped off the screen and gripped my heart:
“For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity (fear), but of power and love and discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:6-7
Something in that moment clicked. I knew God was trying to remind me—stir up the gift inside you. Don’t let it lie dormant. Don’t let fear or doubt win. Instead, live from a place of power, love, and discipline.
That verse instantly took me back to a powerful moment years ago.
I was on a mission trip in the Caribbean with about 30 teenagers. One of them was my son, Keith Jr. Days were full of ministry—training, outreach, worship, fellowship. It was a beautiful kind of chaos.
One night, after most of the group had gone off to relax, Keith Jr. walked over and quietly sat beside me. He was usually the center of energy, laughing, joking—but not that night. He had a seriousness in his eyes.
“Dad,” he said. “How do you really hear from God? And how do you study the Bible?”
I was stunned. Not because he asked—but because of the weight of the question. We ended up talking for hours. He asked deep questions, wrestled out loud with faith, and even asked me to write down everything we discussed. We opened our Bibles and studied a chapter together.
It was one of the most meaningful conversations of my life. Not because I had all the answers—but because in that moment, I got to witness a young man, my son, hunger for God.
That’s why I’m writing this. Because maybe you’ve been feeling restless too. A little spiritually off. A little disconnected.
I want to challenge you the same way God challenged me this morning—and the same way I challenged Keith Jr. years ago: kindle afresh the gift of God that’s already in you.
You don’t need to chase it down or earn it. It’s already there. But you’ve got to fan it into flame. And that starts with time in God’s Word.
The power you need, the love you want to give, the discipline to stay the course—it’s all available. But it begins when you slow down, open the Bible, and meet with God.
To help you, I’ve put together a simple guide: The On The Go Way To Study The Bible.
It’s based on the exact notes I shared with Keith Jr. that night.
If you’d like a copy—whether as an ebook, PDF, or hard copy—just let me know. My prayer is that it blesses your walk with the Lord and helps you hear His voice a little more clearly.
Keep us in your prayers, as we keep you in ours.
In Christ,
Keith

Pray for the ongoing efforts of local pastors and churches to visit, counsel, disciple, and encourage those who made a decision for Christ in our Nevada Festivals, Nashville Prison Revival, and numerous local church Evangelistic Services during the month of June.

So excited to have Rick Willison with me this past week. He flew into Nashville from his home base in Idaho. We both had just ministered together at three On The GoFestivals in Nevada just a week ago and we both were excited to be back out sharing with the lost in the Nashville area.
Rick is very anointed minister of the Gospel. He is so good at what he does. Rick is a full time evangelist who uses feats of strength to show Gods amazing power. As an action sports guru who basically breaks bricks, boards, ice, bends steel and brakes bats and many other strength focused object lessons. When he and I get to work together we go out he breaks things and I put them back together by telling people the good news based on what he just did. Rick and I meet over 15 years ago when he came and did a demonstration at one of our USA On The Go Festivals. Since that time he has been a regular festival team member and we have shared the Good News around the world. One thing that you would never know about Rick by watching his demonstrations is that he is legally blind. He is truly one of my favorite people in the whole world and I am glad to call him friend!
He and I were able to speak and encourage some men that society, as a whole, has given up on. We held a revival and mini-festival at one of Tennessee’s state prisons. We spoke to about 150 prisoners. We also shared at my local church on Sunday morning. I am excited to report that many men gave their lives to Jesus at the prison and many lives were transformed on Sunday at church.

Wow, God is definitely moving as we take the message outside the walls of the church and into neighborhoods, large and small.
Our mission to Battle Mountain, Nevada was a huge success. There were so many wonderful and life-changing encounters with Jesus. Thank you for your prayers.
Many of the local believers and leaders had no idea that the Gospel could impact their city so substantially in such a short time. People were coming to faith in Christ on street corners, at their door, in the park, at the festival, and in church services.
This morning I am in line to get a COVID test so I can fly Saturday to Nigeria to speak at two massive Evangelism Conferences. My good friend and fellow evangelist, Alan Greene, will be joining me and together we will share with 1000 pastors in Abuja and 1000 evangelists in Ilorin.
Pray for us both, as most of the international speakers were unable to get Visas to travel to Nigeria but, thanks to the Lord, we were able to get our visas. We will be speaking, sharing, training, and meeting with leaders non-stop.
Joan and I will be sharing at Lifest Music City today at 3:00 and again on Friday. It is exciting to see God moving in our home town. We are honored to be speaking to our fellow Tennesseans about the love of Jesus.
It is going to take a massive amount of prayer, resources, and the power of God to make all this happen and we need you to join our team on the front lines of these outreaches. Every prayer you pray, every donation you make, every time you talk with others about what we are going and doing, makes an eternal impact.
Thank you for taking time to pray for us and to join with us in this ministry. You are definitely in our prayers and on our hearts. We appreciate your standing with us.
God bless you, Keith & Joan
